((A little PSA from the person behind obliviousPredator. I’m sorry for picking up such a heavy topic so early on, but better I bring it up now than you getting shit for it later on, so yeah.

I just read a little in the denko tag and I guess I will better address this right before anyone calls me out on it.

Some people understood from reading the sage that A-Ko was raped by the OP in the end. I however looked over the parts in question again and could find no sign of that. These are the hints I have seen against it:

1.) They went to a love hotel in the first place.
In Japan, those hotels offer rooms for minutes or hours instead of days. Those hotels exist for no other purpose than providing a place where couples have sex with each other. A-Ko never comes across as a helpless person - it’s unlikely that she would have entered such a hotel together with the OP if she didn’t knew and agreed with what was about to happen. Bringing her there was more than a hint, and since there is personell around there, A-Ko would easily have been able to avoid the situation entirely.

2.) It’s hinted at that A-Ko agreed to it, demanding money in return.
This is no surprising behaviour for her after she has sold information and asserted her position of dominance right when entering the relationship. While this can still mean that the OP took advantage of her, it’s less likely together with argument 1.). First she asks for money for it, then she comes to a love hotel room with him. It all appears rather like consenting from the outside to me.

3.) The OP is deluded, but still credible.
While his own interpretation of many things he describes is often… overtly positive, he *does* describe the things that happen. Even the negative things, even when a girl kicks him in the face because he freaks her out. That, together with the fact that he *did* apparently obtain the information he had about Denko *somehow* makes the things more credible he says about A-Ko.
Which gains importance when he talks about the dispute he had with her.
Having sex at all was apparently never the topic of the discussion. He didn’t use protection, and it’s explicitly stated that *that* is the thing that upsets her so. Which is not surprising, considering that she seems to be after money, but doesn’t really want the relationship to be out in the open - an STD or a baby would immediately affect both in a way she clearly does not want. So it’s no wonder that she is so upset about this sudden development that she gets emotional. That is all there in the text. Her being taken against her will is not (since the OP even mentions her “GROSS!” without second thoughts, it’s very likely that he’d mention her lack of consent as well!).

Conclusion: Your concern is nice, but from what we have, there’s is no real clue leading to a case of rape being part of this story. Nothing indicates lack of consent from A-Ko as far as I can see (yes, she mocks the OP, but I doubt that a prositute sees a sexy beast in every one of her customers either…) and there is no obvious reason to not believe the OPs words.

I know that there are some Anons who claim that he lies about Denko having kicked him, but it looks like they haven’t even seen it, they provide no other way the scene could have happened and their only words are “Denko isn’t like that!”
Add to that that the OP can even see A-Kos “GROSS” as a nice thing because there are stars in it and it becomes kind of doubtful that he would even mention such a thing if it wasn’t true on some level. Especially so since it’s seriously screwing with his perception of reality and he even outright admits that.

So yes. Please be calm.
I was creeped out a lot by this story myself. But the ending is the part to be least upset about. A-Ko drew the OP away from Denko, who really started to crumble, setting her free as far as possible. The OP has an illusion he can stay with, and this time it seems to be someone much more calculating and well-fortified - someone who appears to have the guts to handle it, should the OP ever get out of hand. (Of course, it only appears so. I know that things and people are not always what they seem to be but we can’t go by anything than that what we’ve seen in this case.) And A-Ko can earn additional money.
I might also be more okay with it because I’m a mean little person and resented A-Ko a little bit for selling info. So even if it doesn’t work out, I can honestly live better with the OP being after her than after Denko, who seriously seems to suffer.

Yes, this is not a happy ending. It’s an ending that made me make strange noises of disbelief. But it’s not a bad ending either.

I guess I can find it funny because no violence was involved, no rape was involved and the stalking is adverted in a surprising manner. That doesn’t mean everyone has to. But I do and while I will tag it for others, I won’t stop. It’s a bit like with phobias: I do respect that for others, it really sucks. But all I can do is tag do protect them, it’s not a thing I would like to avoid myself for now.
I might change my opinion one day, but now, this one makes perfectly sense to me, so this is the one I choose.

Please do tag things concerning this story for your followers. I will pay more attention to that too. But I hope no one will lose respect for me because I’ll keep maintaining this blog about it.
